A Women’s Mindfulness-Based Sober Living Community in San Diego

A supportive, structured home where women can strengthen their recovery, build meaningful connections, and create a foundation for what comes next.

PRESENCE • CONNECTION • GROWTH • HEALING • COMMUNITY

A place designed for everyday living, connection, and recovery.

Awaken Lotus House offers women a comfortable and welcoming environment where everyday life becomes part of the recovery experience. Shared spaces provide opportunities to connect, prepare meals, spend time together, and build the routines that support a healthy lifestyle.

The home is designed to feel peaceful and lived-in while maintaining the structure and accountability that are important to recovery. From shared meals and conversations to quiet moments of reflection, residents have space to develop greater independence while being part of a supportive community.

Mindfulness & 12-Step Recovery

A 12-step recovery program provides the foundation, while optional mindfulness practices offer another way to develop greater awareness and intentionality.

Residents can explore practices that encourage reflection, presence, and a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and everyday experiences while remaining actively engaged in their recovery.

Supportive Community

Recovery does not have to be experienced in isolation. Sharing a home with others creates opportunities for connection, encouragement, and learning through everyday experiences.

At Awaken, community is part of daily life. Residents have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, strengthen their support networks, and experience the value of belonging to a recovery-focused environment.

Structure & Accountability

Consistency and accountability are important parts of building a strong recovery foundation. Residents actively participate in their recovery program, attend at least three recovery meetings each week, and obtain a sponsor.

These expectations provide structure while encouraging residents to develop responsibility, healthy routines, and habits that can continue to support them beyond their time at Awaken.

A peaceful place to heal, connect, and grow.

Recovery happens in the everyday moments as much as it does in formal recovery settings. It can happen through shared meals, conversations, routines, quiet reflection, and the relationships built with the people around you.

Awaken Lotus House is designed to create a sense of belonging while giving each woman room to follow her own path. Our shared environment encourages connection, mutual respect, and the opportunity to learn from others who are also committed to building a healthier way of life.

The intention is to create a home where women can feel grounded, connected, and encouraged as they continue their recovery and look toward what comes next.

Awaken Lotus House was born from personal experience and a deep understanding of the recovery journey. Alongside a 12-step recovery path, mindfulness became an important foundation for developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a deeper understanding of the experiences that shape everyday life.

That experience shaped the vision for Awaken.

We wanted to create a home where women could approach recovery with both structure and compassion—where taking recovery seriously could exist alongside the opportunity to reconnect with themselves and discover new possibilities for their lives.

Awaken is built around the belief that recovery is not only about leaving something behind. It is also about learning how to live differently, developing healthier patterns, strengthening meaningful relationships, and becoming more intentional about the life ahead.

Awaken Lotus House exists to provide a peaceful, structured, and supportive environment where women can strengthen their recovery and build a foundation for a life they genuinely want to live.
